As you can see, since the tenth I have only written less than a thousand words. I have college applications, homework, work and Dessert Theater all to thank for that, but now with a week left, part of me is really upset and does not want to give up. So, here I sit, with only one day of school this week and three days off of work, ready to try. In order to reach 50,000 words, I must write 6,320 words a day, which is an insanely tall order, but I like this book and ever since my lose in ninth grade I have vowed to never lose again and have done so. So now friends, I venture back into the back woodlands of NaNoLand. Wish me luck and pray that I make it out alive . . .

So yeah, I am little behind, but I am doing pretty well considering. I've been on schedule the whole time so far which is very exciting. I just will need to find the time tomorrow to write the other 1300 some words I need to write to be caught up. To be honest, I probably will go down to the library during lunch or something to work on it. I want to stay caught up, especially because this is going to be such a busy week. Here's to staying on track!

I've done it for the last four years and even though I have not posted here since November 30th of last year, I return to you LJ for another year of noveling. I will try to post tomorrow or the day after that with an update on wordcount. I really want to keep track here. So yeah, wish me luck. And by the way, my first day word coutns are . . .

YAY!!!! XD XD Another year, another grueling adventure through the rough terrain of NaNoLand, and once again I return and cross the finish line thrilled (though maybe a little twitchy from loss of sleep) and victorious! My story this year has been unlike any other I have yet to write, set with characters and a time that I developed totally out of thin air, seeing as almost everything except the names and basic concepts of my characters is different. It was interesting to see some of my characters grow in these strange situations, and grow together. Though because of the randomness that this baby was created on, I must say that this one had more confusing plot holes and things that do not make sense than anything else I have yet to write, for NaNo or anything else. However, I know I have a lot of stuff to do in the coming month, so editing will most likely come later than I would like it to, but it is going to take a LOT of revision and editing of not just the messed up conventions and typos, but also the plot which needs a lot of fixing to be where I want it to be. But as I said, another year, gone. My fourth year of NaNo. My do these Novembers pass quickly. Next year, shall be my fifth one, and I must say that I am more than excited and ready for another year of madeness. So as I sail away from the shores of NaNoLand, I wave good bye. It has been fun and perilous as always, and as always, well worth it. NaNo '08 . . . here I come . . .

Two days remain and I have only got 6,892 words left till I hit the golden beauty of 50,000 words. I am pretty confident that seeing as I have no homework tomorrow night nor Friday night, I shall be able to finish. This is going to be a pretty sweet end to NaNo. I shall have school tomorrow and come home and write since I have no homework that I will need for Friday. Friday I will spending the ENTIRE school day in the auditorium working on a new play for the Philadelphia Young Playwrights Festival. It is an all day long playwriting workshop, and I am so looking forward to it. Then I get to come home and finish NaNo, and depending on what time I finish, I shall also be putting up Christmas decorations!! Then on Saturday morning I am going on a tour down the city of Temple University with my friend Mary, which I am highly looking forward to. Like I said, if everything goes according to plan, this NaNo will end with a beautiful bang. Oh how I do love November . . .

I think it is funny how this was the same day last year that I hit 40,000 words, and I stayed home to type that day too. Weird how history repeats itself. But yes! I have worked hard all day and now have sailed pass that glorius number of 40,000. I am in the final stretch, and though I know I have quite a bit of homework this week, I am hoping I can get it done, as well as my NaNo. I was on such a role today, having written 7,351 words, which is the most I have done since the begining of the month where I made that jump from 3K to 10K. I am excited, because after all the writing I got done today, I think I might just make it. I am going to be staying up another hour or so. I am not going till I am dead tired, and hopefully hit 41,000 words. I'm inspired and I am awake and ready to type. Oh how I love hot chocolate to inspire me at 11 at night . . . . .

Yeah, I knew that week two would bring what it always does . . . writers block. Although, it wasn't even that I didn't have ideas, it was mostly that I didn't have time. A lot of serious shit has been going down recently, lots of school stuff to do, lots of stuff at home, and all of these bomb threats at school have made for a very trying week. I am trying so desperately to catch up. If all goes well though and I write tonight and tomorrow, then tomorrow I will hit a very nice mark; 25,000 words. My infamous "point of no return" As I climb toward this peak that is Mount 20K, I find myself sincerely hoping that I make it down the other side and eventually through the river and through the woods, to 50,000 I go. I want to make it so badly this year. I want to make it every year. I think if I just take some serious time over break to work, then I should be good. Providing I don't run out of ideas that is. So yeah, less posting more word count uping. I'll post soon.

I should have been at: 8335 words
I was at: 14,678 words
Yeah, you see my point. So then yesterday, being so ahead, I only made it to 15,000 and didn't have to worry. Today, I wrote nothing till about ten minutes ago. This was the first time day in which I haven't written since NaNo started. I enjoyed myself and relaxed, knowing that tomorrow I have plenty of time to write and so on and so forth with this weekend. Tomorrow though I am actually going to see a show my friend is in. But right now I am going to bed. I need sleepies.

I wasn't planning on getting past 6,000 or 7,000 because I was stuck, but with Brittany's help and a trip to Frindly's I went nuts and wrote 5,000 words and got a TON of ideas that fill in my plot holes. I am really excited to already be a day ahead of where I should be, and if I write another 569 words then I will be two days ahead. At the rate I am going I would like to try and maybe hit 13,000 today, which would put me two days ahead. We shall see. So off I go a noveling. I will post later.

I am so excited, because I finally got off my lazy butt and did what I've wanted to do since 9th grade. I started a NaNoWriMo Club at my school, which hopefully will after this become the school's writing club! YAY! We had about nine other people show up and our awesome teacher sponsor is our librarian, Mr. Schmalbach. We are going to meet once a week after school during November to work on our stories, share ideas, get ideas from other people, and help each other out in a fun supportive way so we can hopefully all keep our sanity. I could not be more excited. We are even going to plan some out of school meetings at Barnes and Noble or someplace else like that, which would be really, really fun. It's going to be so cool having a group of people to talk to about NaNo stuff with. I mean, when my sister was here those first two years, we never really helped each other out, cause she got so absorbed with her story and I with mine that we just never got time to care about working "together". Then last year while she was away at college was hilarious because we had a word war, which I won. I guess because I had more time. But this year, I've got friends who are in it with me. This really should make for a great November, if I could only get some more plot ideas. I am stuck at one point in it, which is why I am now off to the forums for some ideas. I'll post soon, probably not until Friday, which is Dessert Theater. This Dessert Theater has been so much fun, but I will post about that later in the week. Byeness for now all.

First, my good news. I am typing this from a new computer! It is a beautiful brand new HP computer and I am in love with it already. I will have a computer that works for NaNo this year! How beautiful is that?? Haha. But speaking of . . .
The time approaches once again. I've spent the last week or so prepping for the start of another noveling adventure, and the new computer isn't the only thing that's going to contribute to this being the best NaNo ever. I am starting a NaNo group at school with my friend Gina and our librarian and its a group that will meet maybe once a week during November to just write and discuss and seek help from our fellow authors. For the first time I won't feel like I am going NaNo alone. I'm crossing the border to NaNoLand this year with a merry company of friends to keep me going rather than just my lonesome. It's going to be an exciting November and I am dying for it to get here.
To breifly discus what I shall be writing about, I give anyone who still reads this the minor details of the basic idea that I've got. It's going to be a fantasy; the first if a trilogy that I've named The Firelight Chronicles. This first book is to be called Red Sun Rising and it is a fantasy about a young girl named Cae who is doing the norm for a fantasy heroine, seeking the truth to make the world a better place . . . yeah I know it sounds like shit when I explain it, but the idea is much cooler than I make it sound.\
And as a final and beautiful note, I MADE IT IN DESSERT THEATER!!! Yeah, I couldn't be happier about that one. And get this . . . I have a solo song. And no I do not mean a solo within a song, I mean a whole entire song that I am singing completely by myself! WOOT! I have never had that before and I don't really know what to do with myself. And it's a funny song too, called, get ready for this, I Hate Musicals. It's so funny! I thought I'd hate it, but it's really awesome and I am so looking forward to the performances on November 2nd and 3rd. We only have 10 rehearsals left, but I know us, we'll put it together by then. Come see it!! Yeah, well I am off now. I am exploring all the wonders of this new computer, and feel this a good place to end the entry. So as NaNo approaches, you shall see more of me hopefully. Night for now.

Hey there. Just felt like updating. I am currently at my sisters place, which is an apartment in which she lives with her two friends. I am actually using her friends laptop to type this. I love laptops. But anyway, I am just posting for the sake of posting. I am probably going to be really soon because I am getting pretty sleepy. So some quick notes before I doze off . . . one, I had auditions for this years dessert theater on Thursday, and I think that they went pretty well. I am hoping so much that I make it this year. That'd be great. And my other piece of news (or lack thereof) I still have no clue what to do for NaNo. I want to do this one story, but I'm not sure if I will have enough to go on. It is sort of like a set in modern day fantasy. It's got vampires, and messed up governments and a really awesome hero named Wyatt, but I need to figure out what I'd write for filler. Who knows, maybe I will keep that one aside for a rainy day. All I know is that I need to come up with something and I need to do it soon. We shall see. But I am falling asleep typing, so chow for now and I will post when my inspiration arrives.

Well, I did it again. I got so busy, so absorbed with facebook and as always my xanga, adding in the factors of a show I was in, school starting, and me turning 17 like two days ago, I forgot to write. I kept telling myself I would, but I just never got around to it. I think that this is the official end of my live journal, at least outside of NaNo. This is still my site for writing about that at least. I am only updating because I realized it's about eight days till sign ups for it for 2007. I'm excited, though I have got no idea what I am writing about. But I will worry about that when it gets here. I want to start brainstorming, cause I need a great idea for this year. My inspiration will come soon enough. It always does. But now, I have got clothes to wash. I am going to Walnut Street theater tonight to see Man of La Mancha, and I need to have something nice to wear. If I don't post about everyday stuff, don't eat my soul. But I promise when I get my idea for NaNo I'll be back. Sorry again for the neglect!! <3
